Weather Wierdness

This fall has been inordinately wet here in the Pacific Northwe(s)t. It usually rains a lot, but we've been getting torrential rains that go on all day. I live on the top of a hill, with very little flat ground - all of which has been underwater. These miserable, wet periods have been punctuated with glorious, clear,  warm, sunny days.

These lovely days seem to erase the memory of the previous week of gray rains - although there is still the mud left as a reminder. Newly washed, the world glistens in beauty. Mountains proudly display fresh white snow, and it is difficult to believe they have been hidden for days.

The sky once again has color and patterns, as do the hills and fields. Winter-shortened days seem longer without clouds adding to the darkness. Capturing the beauty is irresistible.
